My Personal Recipes

My homemade granola takes 25 minutes. 


2 1/2 C oats (not oatmeal, not instant) I prefer Bob’s Red Mill.

1/2 C Walnuts

1/2 C hazelnuts/filberts

1/2 C slivered almonds

1/2 each of three or four kinds of dried fruit (papaya, raisins, cherries, coconut)

3 Tablespoons of maple syrup (or combination of maple syrup and honey, or just honey)

3 Tablespoons melted butter (you can use coconut oil, or canola oil, I like butter)

Stir all ingredients together in a large bowl. When thoroughly mixed, spread the mixture over a rimmed cookie sheet (I line mine with parchment paper).

Bake at 350F for 20 minutes (no more! You don’t want it burned.) REMOVE IMMEDIATELY. Allow to cool and place it in jars.

Serve with homemade yogurt, and a bit of milk if needed.
